Last month at AEW Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas, Adam Copeland successfully defended his AEW TNT Title against Malakai Black in a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. The intense showdown included chairs, tables, barbed wire, and other weapons.

During the match, Copeland executed an elbow drop from the top of the cage, but landed awkwardly on his legs as he crashed onto Black, who was laid out on a table. This mishap led to a fractured tibia, necessitating a 12-hour surgery.
In a recent update to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Copeland shared, “My Achilles tear a few years back was the toughest rehab I’ve faced, and I’m bracing for another challenging recovery. Being 50, I understand the road ahead. However, the surgery went well, and the doctor is hopeful because my bones are in good condition. This marks my seventh surgery, so I’m familiar with the process. We’ll see how my body responds.”
A new TNT Champion will be determined at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in a ladder match.
